Excellent producer, excellent Meursault. From the hills above the town, round taste and nose of fruit like pineapple, and citrus with minerals. Butter also present. 4.3
The opening wine at a London dinner for Wozza, served blind. This is 4.25 quality in my book so rounding up!
Pale lemon. Opulent, fleshy & honeyed. Peachy w. nectarine, dried white flowers, wood spice of nutmeg & cinnamon & citrus peel. Rich, elegant & stylish. Youthful w. a touch of struck match.
Dry. Soft w. m+ acid freshness. M+ bodied w. white violet, pineapple, peach, honey & honeysuckle. Rich & elegant to a long finish. I confidently guessed white Rhône but possibly a white Burg. D’oh! Thanks Shane.
Needs time but richness on the way with spicy nose. Baking spices and lemon rind. Very mineral and will open up with time
Clear deep lemon with aromas of ripe stone fruit, honey, and oak. Bone dry balanced with high acidity—overall smooth and elegant The palate is predominantly of citrus fruits with autolytic characteristics akin to butter, vanilla, cream, smoke, and a touch of zesty minerality. Light to medium bodied with a lengthy plush finish. Drinking really well now. Thanks Jack for sharing!
